Thanksgiving and Work–A Survey

Retailers are pushing the envelope when it comes to opening earlier to capture holiday consumer dollars. According to this CNBC article entitled, “Black Thursday? Stores Encroach Deeper Into Thanksgiving”, Target, Toys-R-Us, and other retailers are choosing to open Thanksgiving Day. Some, like the Gap, are to be open all day. Others are choosing to open as early as 8pm Thursday evening.

Is this good for business? And what about employees, consumers, and communities? I have my opinions on the subject, which I plan on sharing next week on the blog. In the meantime I’m curious to know what you think about this phenomenon.

This short survey is designed to gather participant’s thoughts around working and/or shopping on Thanksgiving Day. It should take no more than 2 minutes to complete.

Let me know what your thoughts–thank you!
