Recognize This! Blog Launches!

I’m thrilled and excited about the launch of my new blog, Recognize This! As I mentioned two weeks ago, I’ll continue to blog here on news and events, but expand my focus to the full talent management spectrum. I’ll be looking at how strategic employee recognition practices can positively influence the employee cycle from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and succession planning, even through exiting.

Company culture and the importance of company values will also be a recurring theme, along with employee engagement and the power of strategic recognition to increase engagement by double digits in less than a year.

A few new features to point out in my blog:

• Comments are always open on every post, but if you’d like to ask me a question directly, feel free to email me via the link in the top right corner. Or you can tweet me @DerekIrvine.

• The weekly poll is back! Let your voice be heard. While these will never be scientific, it’s interesting to see the trends as voiced by blog readers. Email followers will need to click through to take the poll.

• I’ve updated my bio to give some deeper insight into what I do every day. Check it out, including a video on my philosophy on the importance of employee recognition, in the About section.

• I’ve updated my blog roll with this relaunch. Check out some of the HR and Leadership influencers who certainly influence me.

The Globoforce Blog continues to go strong as well in its new format as a multi-author blog. People who subscribed to my posts on the GloboBlog during the last three years were automatically moved to my posts here as the content will be much the same. If you’d like to subscribe to the new Globoforce blog as well, you can subscribe here.
