Recharging the batteries

It’s wonderful to take some time off and relax.  It gives me time to reflect and recharge. I am grateful for so many things.

The serious stuff
A fabulous job with amazing people.
A terrific husband who will do all the hot, messy, and dirty work around the house.
A silly, loving, crazy German shepherd dog who just makes me laugh.
Good health and great insurance.  Hopefully someday everyone will have it.
Seriously wonderful neighbors.  It’s amazing how much of  difference great neighbors can make.
A heart and life filled with gratitude.

The less-than-serious-but-still-important stuff
Not getting sick this holiday while family and friends fell fast.
Delightfully warm weather this weekend that made for great outdoor chores weather.
Having absolutely nowhere to go for four days.
Watching the Red Wings beat the Bruins on a special hockey day game.
Watching U of M beat Ohio State after YEARS of ribbing.
A brand new ironing board.  Seriously.  I love to iron and I went big.

The serious stuff makes life.  The less-than-serious adds a little bit more thank you to the mix.

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was thank you, that would suffice.
~Meister Eckhart

So thank you.  Have a great weekend.
