Inclusiveness Creates the Opportunity for Employee Engagement

Are you inclusive with your recognition? Do you, as a manager, ensure that recognition opportunities are widely available?  Everyone must have the opportunity to excel and be recognized and appreciated for producing a good result.

This doesn’t mean you recognize a poor performer just to be inclusive.  Never pollute the winner’s circle!

For recognition to effectively drive employee engagement, you must clearly define performance expectations. You must also clearly convey to employees what the rewards for performance will look like.

Inclusiveness begins with frequent recognition opportunities, both monetary and non-monetary. To be inclusive in the recognition of employees, managers need to ensure wide availability of recognition opportunities (including unlimited global award choice).
