‘HRE’ seeks speakers for 2022 Health & Benefits Leadership Conference

Are you an innovative HR leader relying on benefits to retain, help and develop employees? Then you might want to consider submitting a proposal to speak at next year’s Health and Benefits Leadership Conference.

Organizers of HRE’s annual event are seeking speaker proposals to present at the conference, which will be April 5-7, 2022, at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The deadline for submissions is July 22.

The conference covers a variety of benefits topics, including healthcare costs, paid leave programs, mental health, financial wellness, tech solutions, family and caregiving benefits, and HR leadership. Next year’s event will focus primarily on how companies and HR leaders are being responsive and agile in adapting health, wellness and benefits programs to address employees’ current pain points—or risk missing the mark and potentially losing valuable talent.

HRE’s 2021 event was held virtually due to COVID-19 and featured speakers including Joan Lunden, Suze Orman and Arianna Huffington. TIAA CHRO Sean Woodroffe, Johnson and Johnson’s Fernando Salinas, Mastercard CHRO Michael Fraccaro, Edward Jones CHRO Kristin Johnson and Upwork’s chief people officer, Zoë Harte, were among the many HR leaders who presented.

Conference organizers are looking for employers that are doing innovative things, solving big challenges and committed to helping employees in trying times—and that are willing to share their strategies, successes, challenges and lessons learned. They also are seeking vendors and consultants to present along with employer clients. Vendors are typically not accepted to present without an employer client, except in the Ideas & Innovators general session, which features fast-paced presentations on big ideas.

Suggested topics include:

  • How and why you’ve changed your employee benefits package (adding or dropping benefits)
  • How you’re retaining talent during a labor shortage with innovative benefits
  • Remote and flexible work options
  • Interesting perks for remote workers
  • Lessons learned during the pandemic
  • Innovative communications and engagement methods
  • Embracing new benefits as a result of the pandemic
  • The evolving role of brokers/consultants
  • New solutions and results with wellness—physical, mental and financial health
  • Healthcare and benefits legislation
  • Developments in retirement and financial security
