At Halogen, we’re passionate about delivering a world-class customer experience. But our passion doesn’t end there. That passion also applies to our people and our community.
Our culture is one very much focused on employee recognition, growth and development. And we work hard to ensure the larger community benefits from our success.
Yes, we’re passionate and it shows — and now we’ve been recognized for it.
In fact, I’m extremely honored to say that Halogen was named 2012 Company of the Year at the Ottawa Business Achievement Awards (OBAA) last Thursday evening. The award recognizes growing, innovative organizations that demonstrate great customer service and corporate social responsibility standards in the Ottawa area.
In good company
I’ll be the first to admit that competition was stiff. We were in exceptional company this year with The Minto Group taking home silver and Hydro Ottawa winning bronze in the Company of the Year category.
Other finalists included:
- General Dynamics
- Ross Video
- The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro
- Willis College
Ottawa is a great city in which to do business. As towns go, it has a history of attracting companies whose success is driven by innovation, creativity and passion. It doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon — and we’re delighted to be recognized as part of this remarkable community.
Finally, a big thank you to our awesome employees who really are at the heart of this award. Thanks and kudos for a job well done, not only from a work perspective but also out in the community.
Whether it’s helping out the Ottawa Food Bank, walking to end cancer or growing mustaches for Movember, our employees are always enthusiastic about helping good causes.
Halo-Gents go “Gangnam Stache” for Movember
In fact our ‘Movember mustache growers’ decided last week to create a video to raise awareness about their cause. You have to check it out. It’s not only fun – it gives you a small glimpse into our people – and why they matter so much.
Congratulations to all the OBAA winners and finalists!
Now it’s time to forge ahead into 2013.
