Do you talk to yourself?
I don’t mean out loud having conversations with yourself, which I have to say is harder and harder to tell who is crazy and who is talking on a headset today.
The question is, what type of self-talk do you have when you talk to yourself in your head?
The reason I am asking is because your self-talk, your self-visualization and your self-determination are 90% of what will lead to goal achievement, dude or dudette.
When you talk to yourself, here is the script for positive self-talk.
Ask yourself, “How bad do I want this? Am I willing to dedicate hard work to achieve it?”
Visualize yourself. Select one or two big goals and several small goals and visually discipline yourself. Write down the goals and post them where you can see them each and every day. Even use images that represent the achievement of your goal to support the visualization.
Reaffirm yourself. Tell yourself daily that you are on the path to goal achievement, and that each and every action that you take brings you closer to the goal or goals.
Commit yourself. When you talk to yourself, commit emotionally, mentally and spiritually to achieve. If you don’t, it is likely that you will not.
Reward yourself. Achieving a goal is incredibly self-rewarding. It gives you a feeling of great accomplishment, purpose and for me, the inspiration to set out and achieve the next goal.
When you talk to yourself, one of the most fun things to do is scream out loud and say, “I DID IT!”
In fact, screaming positive things out loud is one of the most fun things you can do!
