Do you listen to your inner voice and follow your gut instincts?

Gut Instincts

Your instincts and passions are connected. I have been reading the book by TD Jake and have been blown away with the content of this book – I am reading it on kindle and have highlighted so many passages that have stuck out to me as a entrepreneur.
Do you trust your self ?
I mean really trust yourself, your own judgements, your gut feelings?

Your own instincts….
It took me a long time to really trust the uncomfortable feeling that showed up in my “gut” and  when I didn’t listen I would hear my self say “I knew I shouldn’t have done that.

I have also had times I listened to my gut and was able to open doors with the information I followed.
I am not sure I can explain it in detail how it works however it has served me well working in mental health in a state hospital where we get dangerous customers daily. It is normal to have in house patient from jail, or that has been in prison waiting to be cleared to go home and or waiting to sit in a court trial.
I have a six sense about people. I was able to size people up pretty quickly. That has remained constant through out my life and I have learned to listen more clearly.

I have had patients that sensed I knew something about them and in my book “The Nurses Voice”  I shared some of those stories. For along time it would make me stop and feel puzzled how I knew something was going to happen or that the person I was talking too had other meaning behind the conversation. Dreams that  are so vivid some nights it takes to mid morning to shake them off.

As I have gotten older, I react to the urge in my gut instinct more now than I did as a young person. If someone pops in my head I send a text right then, or call them. It has been right on que each time.
Relationships are always an energy exchanges and we have to learn who our energy vampires are and spend less time with those people and prepare in advance if we have to spend time with them.
As I teach the nursing education and training I have found some of the new employees drain the life out of me… My office is filling with valor essential oi, harmony or stress away in the diffuser . I apply white Angelica to my shoulders every morning as my protective shield.
I have noticed on days that I use less essential oils – my day tends to be more stressful. On those days I find a place where I can get quiet for a few minutes to listen to my instincts…what is it is that causing the stress.
I know you have felt the same thing and may have dismissed it as nothing.
When someone ask you to do something, and as soon as you say yes you feel that pull in your gut of dread, or discontent.
People spend more time knowing about other people wishing and dreaming to be like them, than they take the time to learn who they are and what their own instincts are telling them. Me included. What I have learned is most  people are more scared of who they can become than where they are miserable in their own life.
I have spend 25 years in a mental hospital working  – it has gotten way to comfortable and my instincts are really beginning to push and pull to move out of the comfortable little box of the daily routine. To build on who I am designed to be…. Is it scarey? … Most certainly!
