Ask Smart Questions, Get Smart Answers!

If you don’t ask the right questions, you are never going to get the type of answers that lead you to excellence.

Smart questions are the type of questions that get you answers that are actionable.

If you are a leader, here are two examples of smart questions you should be using with your people every day:

Smart Question #1: What obstacles get in your way to creating fast, flexible and hassle free experiences?

Smart Question #2: What skills and/or knowledge do you want to acquire that will help you excel?

If you are an individual contributor, here are two examples of smart questions you should be using every day with your internal and/or external customers:

Smart Question #1 for an external customer : Can you tell me one thing I can do that will make the experience better, faster or positively different for you?

Smart Question #2 for an internal customer : How can my output be a better input for you?

When you ask these types of questions it is important that you take action so that you can improve the experience for the external customer or enhance the service cooperation internally.
