6 Major Theories of Motivation

Last year I adapted Fred Nickols’ research on the major theories of motivation as they applied to recognition. Fred has been helping improve the performance of people, processes and organizations for many years.

My theory of  motivation was deeply influenced by the 15 years I spent working and traveling with Dr. Ken Blanchard.

Obviously there is a big difference between theory and practice.

The reason I like Fred’s work is because he takes complex ideas and makes them visual. Research, and my experience, has proven that 83% of what we learn, we learn visually.
