Time has certainly not made a difference in the presence of fear in the workplace...I've been saving this for a post of my own but you gave me the opening to share it now.
“In the office in which I work there are five people of whom I am afraid. Each of these five people is afraid of four people (excluding overlaps) for a total of 20, and each of these 20 people is afraid of six people, making a total of 120 people who are feare...

Louise: I am grateful to you for the tim...

Louise: I am grateful to you for the time, energy and creativity it takes to put together a post such as you past two on the New Management Model. It is clear to me that many of us have intuitively suspected what David Rock and others are now showing us to be true with science. I doubt that initially this will make anyone's life easier but eventually we need to dive in and learn how to manage as Rock is asserting we must. Either that or fade away.

Your sharing here is an act of generosity for which I am deeply grateful.
There is so much we have yet to learn about what it means to be human, not the least of which may be an inherent ability we all possess to join with another person at a level so profound that we in fact become each other to some degree. I have been a proponent of distributed leadership for years but honestly as I read your piece I realized that my thinking was limited to that distribution occurring within the existing framework, top down.
